Police and Sheriffs Endorse Prosecutor Gayland Gieger for Oklahoma County District Attorney 

Today, prosecutor and DA candidate Gayland Gieger announced the endorsements of the:

Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office Fraternal Order of Police

Bethany Fraternal Order of Police

Harrah Fraternal Order of Police

These law enforcement agencies join the Eastern Oklahoma County Chief of Police Association who previously endorsed Gieger. Gieger said:

For over 22 years in the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office Gieger brought justice to crime victims.  For over a decade he has lead all child abuse and sex crimes prosecutions.  He is nationally sought by organizations to train law enforcement and other prosecutors on the investigation and prosecution of sexual assault and child abuse.

Prosecutor, Gayland Gieger Posts Strong Fundraising Haul in Race for Oklahoma County District Attorney 

Oklahoma City, OK – Today, prosecutor Gayland Gieger announced his campaign has collected over $70,000 in contributions for the second quarter.  Gieger built-up a sizeable campaign war-chest, in just over two months of campaigning. Gieger’s fundraising effort is the largest quarterly posting for this district since 2006.

“Oklahoma County families are responding to our message with their support and donations. I’m eternally grateful to those who stand with us in support of the rule of law and the protection of the most vulnerable in our community.” Gieger said.

At the time of release, no other candidate has reported any contributions in the race to replace Oklahoma County’s current District Attorney, David Prater.

Gieger began work in the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s office in 1999. During his 22-year tenure, he has served 13 years as the lead prosecutor for the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Unit. Gieger is nationally sought by organizations to train law enforcement and other prosecutors on the investigation and prosecution of sexual assault and child abuse.

Prosecutor Gayland Gieger Earns First Law Enforcement Endorsement in Race for District Attorney

Oklahoma City, OK – Prosecutor Gayland Gieger earned the unanimous endorsement of the Eastern Oklahoma County Chief’s Association. The endorsement is the first issued by a law enforcement group in the race for Oklahoma County District Attorney.

“Throughout your 22 years of working for the District Attorney’s office, your guidance has been imperative to seeking justice for some of the worst crimes our agencies could imagine.” Eastern Oklahoma County Chief’s Association President Gary Morgan said in a written statement.

The association of police chiefs represents Arcadia, Choctaw, Forest Park, Harrah, Jones, Luther, Nicoma Park, Spencer and Valley Brook.

“I’m honored to receive the first endorsement from a law enforcement group in the race for DA. For over two decades, it’s been my honor to support and work with local law enforcement to keep our families safe and protect our community.” Gieger said of the endorsement.

Oklahoma City, OK – Today, prosecutor Gayland Gieger launched his bid to become Oklahoma County’s next District Attorney. Gieger is currently the lead prosecutor and supervisor for Oklahoma County’s Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Unit.
